Creative Couponing: God is Good

WELCOME

I am a stay at home mom who is fed up with spending a large portion of income on grocery bills. It is my job, according to God, to be a good help mate for my husband. I am trying to live up to my job description. I am starting a journey into the grocery coupon world and invite you to come with me. I have never used coupons for grocery shopping and as of January 1st 2008 I am diving in. I am going to treat this adventure as a part time job and put in the hours necessary to make it work. I am excited and nervous to get started.

What a blessing of newspapers God gave today. I got 11 papers from my guy who gives them every Sunday and then I got an extra set of inserts today in my regular delivered paper.

Shopping Tips to Remember

Pull coupons before you get to store
Take glasses
Check around self-check out for discarded coupons
Look down each isle for coupons
Go through your coupons monthly and disgaurd all expired coupons. This also reminds you of what you have, sometimes there will be a good deal and you can make it a great deal with a coupon
make a list with items needed and next to each item write how many coupons you have for that item that way you are not fumbling with coupons
Keep an eye out for extra deals that are not on the list
