WELCOME

I am a stay at home mom who is fed up with spending a large portion of income on grocery bills. It is my job, according to God, to be a good help mate for my husband. I am trying to live up to my job description. I am starting a journey into the grocery coupon world and invite you to come with me. I have never used coupons for grocery shopping and as of January 1st 2008 I am diving in. I will be using http://www.thegrocerygame/ , http://www.moneysavingmom.com and the http://www.couponmom.com/ website to guide me on how to save money. I am going to treat this adventure as a part time job and put in the hours necessary to make it work. I am excited and nervous to get started.

My Walgreens Rebates Processing!


I added my Walgreens rebates last night as I posted and they are already processing! Yay! I like the online rebates.

I went and did my monthly Walgreens today. As you know I do the deals that gives me all of my money back plus overage. I like to keep my Walgreens gift card as a little nest egg, in case we run out of cash and really need something. Today my deal was this:

1 Ecotrin 45 ct low dose aspirin on sale for $2
1 Theragran-Multi vitamin $4.99
coupons used
$1 off Ecotrin
$2 off vitamins

Total off of gift card (no cash spent) $4.24
Total I will get back after rebates $8.77

I am so happy I finally figured out the ECBs at CVS. I bought 2 huge packs of diapers, 2 big boxes of wipes and paid only $10 for it all. THEN!! I got $5 ECBs back. so I went back and got 2 bottles of laundry detergent and 2 bottels of dish detergent and paid $1.84!!!
